This San Rafael property featured challenging slopes that limited usability and planting opportunities throughout the landscape. Pacific Garden Artistry transformed the space through a combination of structural improvements, planting design, and outdoor living enhancements.

The project began with the construction of a concrete retaining wall system that created stable planting beds and helped organize the landscape. Additional retaining walls were installed along the property's steep perimeter slopes, providing essential support while dramatically improving safety and long-term stability.

Once the structural work was complete, the team installed drought-conscious planting areas supported by a highly efficient drip irrigation system. Organic mulch was applied to help retain soil moisture, suppress weeds, and improve soil health.

A custom bluestone patio created a beautiful gathering space, while strategically placed landscape lighting extended the usability and enjoyment of the garden into the evening hours.
